The difference between domestic and international gold prices has narrowed to approximately 5.08 million VND per tael.

At 2:35 PM on May 4th, the selling price of SJC gold was 42.23 million VND/ounce. Meanwhile, the world gold price was at 1,470.95 USD/ounce. Converted using the Vietcombank exchange rate, the difference between domestic and world gold prices has narrowed to approximately 5.08 million VND/ounce. Specifically, the price of SJC gold in Ho Chi Minh City traded at 42.1 - 42.23 million VND/ounce (buying - selling), a decrease of about 150,000 VND/ounce compared to the end of yesterday.

The selling price of SJC gold in Hanoi is 20,000 VND lower than in Ho Chi Minh City, while the buying price is 10,000 VND higher per ounce, trading at 42.11 and 42.21 million VND per ounce respectively.

World gold prices for June delivery closed the week down slightly by $3.4 to $1,464.2/oz. This week, gold futures prices rose 0.8%, marking the second consecutive week of gains.
