Oil prices today December 10, 2024: World oil prices ended the decline of 3 consecutive sessions with WTI oil prices increasing 0.03%, Brent oil prices increasing 1.10%.

World oil prices

Crude oil prices on the world market opened the trading session in the green. According to world crude oil price data from TradingEconomics and Oilprice (at 6:27 a.m. Vietnam time), WTI oil prices traded at 68.17 USD/barrel, up 0.03 USD/barrel, ending the 3-session decline since last week.

Brent oil price is trading around 71.90 USD/barrel, up slightly 0.78 USD/barrel, up 1.10% on the day.

The world crude oil price market has fluctuated erratically in the past few days, due to the direct impact of the decision to extend production cuts by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+) until the end of the first quarter of 2025.

A larger-than-expected rise in U.S. gasoline inventories added to concerns about global fuel demand, sending oil prices tumbling nearly 4% to their lowest since June. In addition, the greenback hit a two-week high during the session, making oil more expensive for holders of other currencies.

Oil prices are expected to warm up after the strong US jobs report. Many analysts believe that concerns about weak demand are no longer a concern after the above jobs data. Oil prices are expected to continue to rise in the coming sessions if there are no special fluctuations.
