Gasoline price today April 27, 2025: Slight recovery
Gasoline price today April 27, 2025: world oil price increased slightly but overall for the week still showed a downward trend.
According to Oilprice at 4:30 a.m., Brent oil price reached 66.91 USD/barrel, up 0.48%, while WTI oil stood at 63.17 USD/barrel, up 0.37%.
The average market price of crude oil fell nearly 9% in April. WTI fell about 9.3%, while Brent fell 8.3%. Compared to the same period last year, crude oil prices have now fallen sharply, from 24% to nearly 25%.
Oil prices were supported by China temporarily waiving import tariffs on some US pharmaceuticals, Reuters reported, raising hopes of a possible easing of US-China trade tensions, although Beijing quickly dismissed President Trump’s claim that tariff talks were progressing.
However, experts say the outlook for oil prices to rise in the short term is not very optimistic. Mr. Ole Hansen from Saxo Bank said that trade tensions between major oil consuming countries are still lingering, while OPEC+ may accelerate plans to increase production from June, making it difficult for oil prices to increase sharply.
In addition to pressure from supply, the geopolitical situation is also starting to have an impact again. Notably, the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump's special envoy on April 25 was considered "constructive". If the disagreement over Ukraine is narrowed, oil supply from Russia to the international market may increase.
