Gasoline price today: Time for record increase?
In the past 15 days, world oil prices have been increasing sharply compared to before. Therefore, today's gasoline prices may increase again.
According to Singapore market price data, the average gasoline price over the past 15 days was at $64.42/barrel, nearly $3/barrel higher than the average price of the previous 15 days ($61.693/barrel).
According to calculations, each liter of gasoline sold on the market is currently lower than the average import price of the past 15 days by about 1,000 VND/liter.
Thus, if the price stabilization fund is not used, gasoline prices today could increase very sharply.

In the previous adjustment period (August 4), the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided to increase gasoline prices. Specifically, RON 92 gasoline increased by 599 VND/liter; E5 gasoline increased by 572 VND/liter. This is the highest gasoline price increase since the beginning of the year.
Prices of petroleum products also increased simultaneously. Specifically, diesel 0.05S: increased by 466 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 462 VND/liter; fuel oil 180CST 3.5S increased by 264 VND/kg.
Faced with pressure from world oil prices at that time, the joint ministries also decided to release the price stabilization fund to control the increase in domestic oil prices.
Specifically, the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund is used for mineral gasoline at 110 VND/liter; E5 gasoline at 90 VND/liter; diesel at 70 VND/liter; and kerosene at 110 VND/liter (OPEC).
