Gasoline prices tomorrow can continue to be held down?
Gasoline prices on the world market have only decreased slightly, so according to key businesses, domestic prices may remain unchanged during the December 20 adjustment period.
Data from the Ministry of Industry and Trade shows that the average price of finished products in the Singapore market over the past 15 days has been above 73 USD per barrel, equivalent to the average price of the previous 15 days. Therefore, in the retail price adjustment tomorrow (December 20), domestic gasoline prices may remain at the current price.
According to key petroleum enterprises, recently the world gasoline price has been quite stable, without many adjustments, therefore, the domestic gasoline price will also be stable.
“The price of gasoline and oil only decreased slightly by about 0.1% compared to the previous period. Therefore, the operator can reduce the use of the stabilization fund, so the domestic gasoline and oil price in the adjustment period on December 20 will remain the same. This could be the second time the gasoline price has been adjusted to stabilize in the past month,” said the leader of a gasoline and oil wholesale enterprise in Ho Chi Minh City.

In the adjustment period on December 5, the retail prices of most domestic gasoline and oil products remained unchanged; only diesel oil increased by 150 VND per liter.
Accordingly, each liter of RON 92 gasoline still costs 18,580 VND, E5 gasoline has a maximum selling price of 18,243 VND per liter; kerosene is 13,617 VND and mazut is a maximum of 12,382 VND per kilogram. Diesel oil has a new maximum selling price of 15,169 VND per liter.
At the same time, the operator used the price stabilization tool from the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund to "restrain" the increase in domestic prices. RON 92 gasoline decreased by 15 VND per liter compared to the previous operating period, to 585 VND; E5 gasoline increased the fund expenditure to 604 VND per liter. Kerosene and diesel have new fund expenditure increased by 485 VND and 388 VND per liter, respectively.
