Gasoline prices continue to decrease for the third consecutive time
Each liter of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by a maximum of 986 VND, RON 95 gasoline decreased by 1,085 VND; oil products also decreased by 239 - 737 VND per liter, kg.
According to information on petroleum management from the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, starting from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon (June 17), RON95 gasoline decreased by 1,085 VND per liter; E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 986 VND. Oil products also decreased in price, specifically 0.05S diesel decreased by 737 VND; kerosene by 614 VND per liter; and mazut by 239 VND per kg. After adjustment, each liter of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased to a maximum of 19,224 VND; RON 95 gasoline was 20,125 VND.
Along with the price reduction, the authorities also decided to increase the amount of the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for RON 95 gasoline and other types of oil to 900 VND per liter or kilogram. For E5 RON 95 gasoline, the amount of the fund is 300 VND per liter. In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance will not use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for gasoline and oil products.
Data from the Ministry of Industry and Trade shows that the average price of finished gasoline in the Singapore market in the new cycle is 64.33 USD per barrel of RON 92 gasoline, down more than 12% compared to the previous cycle. Meanwhile, RON 95 is 66.04 USD per barrel, down 12.2%. The decrease in world gasoline prices has caused domestic gasoline prices to decrease as well.
This is the third consecutive period that domestic gasoline prices have decreased since the beginning of May. In total, E5 RON 92 gasoline has decreased by more than VND1,400 and RON 95 by over VND2,060 per liter.
