Domestic gasoline prices decreased by nearly 1,200 VND/liter from the afternoon of September 3rd.
The price of Ron 92 gasoline and E5 gasoline will decrease by 1,198 VND/liter, and the price of various types of diesel will decrease by 111-785 VND per liter/kilogram, effective from 3 PM on September 3rd.

This is the seventh gasoline price reduction since the beginning of the year, with a total decrease of approximately 5,590 VND/liter.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have jointly issued a document requesting key fuel distribution companies to reduce fuel prices.
Accordingly, from 3 PM today (September 3rd), the selling price of Ron 92 gasoline and E5 gasoline must not exceed the base price of 17,338 VND/liter and 16,843 VND/liter respectively.
Furthermore, the price of 0.05S diesel fuel must not exceed the base price of 13,310 VND/liter; kerosene (12,286 VND/liter) and 180 CST fuel oil (9,351 VND/kg).
Therefore, the price of Ron 92 gasoline and E5 gasoline will decrease by nearly 1,198 VND/liter, and the price of various types of diesel will decrease by 111-785 VND per liter or kilogram.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the average world oil prices for the 15 days from August 18 to September 2 were $58.299/barrel for Ron 92 gasoline, $56.414/barrel for 0.05S diesel, $56.247/barrel for kerosene, and $229.192/ton for fuel oil.
This marks the seventh gasoline price reduction since the beginning of the year, totaling approximately 5,590 VND/liter. However, gasoline prices have also increased four times, totaling an additional 5,040 VND/liter compared to the last increase in 2014.
Previously, on August 19th, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade jointly decided to reduce the price of RON 92 gasoline and E5 gasoline by 768 VND/liter, the price of 0.05 S diesel by 441 VND/liter, the price of kerosene by 703 VND/liter, and the price of mazut by 736 VND/kg.
In afternoon trading on September 3rd in New York, the price of light sweet crude oil was falling and trading around $46 per barrel. Meanwhile, in the London market, Brent crude oil prices edged down slightly to around $50 per barrel.
