The 2016 Devotion Music Awards added a category for Music videos.

VOV.VN - The Music Video of the Year Award was established with the desire to promote the MV field to have more and more creative discoveries in using images to complement music.

The Organizing Committee of the 11th Devotion Music Awards 2016 has just announced the tentative list of nominees for the award. In addition to the 7 categories of the 10th Devotion Music Awards 2015 (Song of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Series of the Year, Program of the Year, Musician of the Year and Singer of the Year), this year the award has a new category: Music Video of the Year.

The Music Video of the Year Award was born with the desire to promote the MV field to have more and more creative discoveries in using images to complement the musical language to bring the audience an attractive song that satisfies both audio and visual elements.

In the 8 nomination categories of this year's awards, there are 5 awards honoring music products (including 5 categories: Music video, Song, Album, Program series, Program of the year) and artists (including 3 categories: New artist, Musician and Singer of the year).

Son Tung promises to be nominated for MV of the year and song of the year.

In the 5 categories of music products this year, the Program of the Year is mostly television programs, including 2 new programs appearing in 2015:The Remix - Harmony of LightandVietnamese tour

Music video of the year and Song of the year reflect the appearance of young artists in the music scene. In the Music video of the year category, the owners of the MVs are young singers such as: Dong Nhi, Son Tung M-TP, Truc Nhan, Toc Tien, Van Mai Huong... The Song of the year category is a work composed by mostly young faces: Pham Toan Thang, Tien Tien, Mew Amazing... and also performed by young singers.

It is expected that the nominees for the Program of the Year category this time will mostly be programs with the participation of faces with "seniority" in the field such as: Hong Nhung, Thanh Lam, Tran Thu Ha, My Linh, Thu Phuong, Tung Duong, Trong Tan... and most of them will take place in Hanoi.

The album field has the participation of faces such as: Tran Thu Ha, Tung Duong, Duc Tuan, Ha Anh Tuan, Pham Anh Khoa, Phuong Anh, Hoang Bach...

It can be said that the expected nominations in the categories of Program of the Year and Album of the Year are the presence of faces considered “veterans” of the music market. And the faces in these two categories are mostly strong candidates for nominations in the categories of Musician of the Year and Singer of the Year.
