Dozens of detectives raided a rented house and successfully rescued two girls, aged 5 and 3, who were being kidnapped by a woman demanding a ransom of $50,000.

On the evening of March 10, the Department of Investigation Police on Social Order Crimes (PC45) - Ho Chi Minh City Police announced that they had just coordinated with District 11 Police to successfully rescue two girls who were kidnapped and held for a ransom of 50,000 USD.

Previously, on March 7, Mr. Tran Hoang (residing in District 11) went to the local police to report that his two daughters, Tran Hoang MA (7 years old) and Tran Hoang BN (5 years old), were kidnapped by a stranger and demanded a ransom of 50,000 USD.

Two girls were successfully rescued by detectives in a kidnapping case.

After getting quick information from Mr. Hoang, the police learned that he had run a restaurant for a while but had now transferred it to someone else. Mr. Hoang had 2 wives and 3 children, MA and BA were the children of his second wife. After divorcing this wife, Mr. Hoang adopted his 2 daughters for many years.

On the afternoon of March 7, not seeing his two daughters come home from school as usual, Mr. Hoang and his relatives worriedly searched everywhere. Two days later, Mr. Hoang's mother unexpectedly received a video clip of baby BN with a text message from an unknown phone number with the content: "We need 50,000 USD. You must write a paper guaranteeing that you will not sue... If you want to see your children on the afternoon of March 9, bring 50,000 USD to Dau Tieng Rubber Company to redeem them...".

Shocked by the above incident, Mr. Hoang's family quietly went to the police station for help.

Upon receiving the incident, District 11 Police reported the entire incident to the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department. Major General Phan Anh Minh - Deputy Director of the City Police Department directed the professional teams to quickly rescue the two children.

On the afternoon of March 9, dozens of detectives suddenly raided a rented room on Le Van Quoi Street, Binh Tri Dong A Ward, Binh Tan District, and arrested a girl named Dung, who used to work for Mr. Hoang's family. The two girls were quickly taken to the police station for care and then handed over to Mr. Hoang's family.

Through investigation, the police determined that an American Vietnamese woman, Ms. H., was involved in the incident and invited her to the police station for questioning. However, Ms. H. did not admit to kidnapping the two children to demand a ransom of 50,000 USD.
