Tim Cook is about to have to 'go' to China to solve challenges in this giant market. |
Not only that, a Chinese company recently won a lawsuit against Apple to use the IPHONE brand in this country. The Cupertino-based technology company was forced to share the rights to use the IPHONE name for products such as bags, wallets, phone cases, etc. in the Chinese market. The challenge continued to come to the American technology company when the two services iBooks and iTunes Movie suddenly stopped operating in the world's most populous country. This is considered the result of a ban from the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of China.
With these challenges in mind, Apple CEO will meet with senior officials and party cadres in China, according to Reuters. The meeting is expected to take place at the end of May.
Previously, Tim Cook traveled to China to resolve a dispute over the use of the iPad trademark in the country in 2012. The Apple chief returned in 2013 and 2014 to meet with China Mobile executives.
