Rescuing a woman stuck on an electric pole

On November 1, Hai Ba Trung District Police (Hanoi) said that the health condition of the woman had just been...rescueon the electric pole is normal, now reunited with family.

Previously, at around 10:40 pm on October 31, the Hai Ba Trung District Police rescue team received information that someone was stuck on an electric pole in lane 1050, Nguyen Khoi Street. They quickly dispatched a rescue ladder truck and a working group to the scene. There, the working group discovered a middle-aged woman sitting precariously on top of an electric pole about 10 meters high.

The woman sat perched on top of the electric pole.

The authorities quickly spread air mattresses around to prevent any unexpected events, and at the same time encouraged and persuaded the man to calm down so that the rescue team could bring him down safely. Initially, the man showed signs of mental abnormality and refused to let anyone rescue him. If the rescue team did not disperse, he would jump from above.

After several hours of persuasion, the woman calmed down and agreed to let the rescue team approach. The rescue team used a ladder truck to bring the victim down safely, while encouraging the woman to stay calm so that she could receive first aid and care from the rescue team.

Authorities took the woman down from the electric pole.

Through investigation, because of sadness about family matters, the woman above suffered psychological trauma and thought of committing suicide.
