Rescue of Nghe An woman who was tricked and sold to be wife of Chinese man for 20 years

On the afternoon of October 28, the Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Police), in coordination withBlue Dragon Children's Protection Organizationbrought Ms. TTH (33 years old) to hand over to her family in Giai Xuan commune, Tan Ky district.

Ms. H. is one of the human trafficking victims recently rescued by the Blue Dragon Children's Protection Organization in China.

According to Ms. H., due to difficult circumstances, she dropped out of school early. In 2001, when she was only 14 years old, she left her hometown to go to Dien Chau to find a job and met a woman named Thuy. This person then invited her to go to China to do "easy work with high salary". Believing her, Ms. H. followed her to China for about 2 months, but Thuy turned against her and sold her to a local man for 20,000 yuan.

In China, Ms. H. gave birth to four children for her husband. She said that life in a foreign land was hard and tiring, so she always wanted to return to her homeland. But she tried many times but could not contact anyone to help. During the recent Mid-Autumn Festival, she met a friend named Sy from Do Luong who was working in China. This person knew that Ms. H. wanted to find her family, so he posted Ms. H.'s picture on Zalo. Thanks to that, Ms. H.'s brother recognized his lost sister and reported it to the Tan Ky District Police.

On October 11, authorities successfully rescued Ms. H., brought her and her youngest son back to Vietnam, and then quarantined them for 14 days in Ha Giang to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.
