The 5th Trung Do - Vinh Phoenix Cycling Race
(Baonghean.vn)-On the morning of October 19, the 5th Trung Do Phoenix Cycling Tournament - Nghe An Television Cup, 2014 officially kicked off with the participation of 30 cycling clubs nationwide.
The clubs compete in two categories: the Advanced category for athletes aged 49 and under with a race distance of 45km and the Amateur category for athletes over 50 with a race distance of 30km. The race route goes around Ho Chi Minh Square and Vinh city's central park, passing through Truong Thi, Ho Tung Mau, Le Mao and Tran Phu streets.

Before the opening ceremony, there were 10 laps of 30km for cyclists over 50 years old to participate in the grassroots category. Cyclist Bui Van Quang - Le Loi Cycling Club, Thanh Hoa City, excellently won the championship in the grassroots category. Hue Tourism Sports Club won the first prize in this category.
In the advanced category for cyclists aged 35 to 49, the 45km distance saw the participation of many strong cycling clubs, especially Japanese athletes competing for the Bridgestone Cycling Club. This is a racing team that regularly participates in the tournament over the years. Cyclist Hoang Minh Tuan - Thanh Hoa Green Environment Company Cycling Club finished first in this category. And as predicted by experts, Bridgestone Club won the collective first prize in the advanced category. Hue City Club won second prize, Vinh City Cycling Club won third prize.

A large number of Vinh City people cheered on the athletes throughout the races, creating a beautiful image of Nghe An people. Vinh City Police mobilized traffic police, public order police, and ward police to divide the roads, ensuring traffic safety and order for the race. Favorable weather conditions helped the athletes compete with the highest spirit. And the goal of solidarity, nobility, and connection between clubs and racing enthusiasts to promote the development of racing was maximized in the tournament.
