Retired, Van Vinh goes to study to become a coach with Huy Hoang and Minh Duc

(Baonghean.vn) -After finishing V.League 2016 with SLNA, midfielder Nguyen Van Vinh immediately started studying with the hope of continuing his career in football.

In 2000 at Chi Lang Stadium, U16 Vietnam, with the main component being young SLNA players, created a shock when defeating U16 China and reaching the semi-finals. Along with Van Quyen, Nhu Thuat, Minh Duc... midfielder Nguyen Van Vinh was one of the talented young players of Nghe An and Vietnamese football at that time.

After 6 years of dedication to SLNA from V.League 2002 - 2007, Nguyen Van Vinh joined Hoa Phat Hanoi and QNK.Quang Nam because SLNA at that time was a crowded land with too many talents.

When his career had passed its peak, the midfielder born in 1983 returned to his hometown team to play in the V.League 2015. During those two seasons, despite being 33 years old, Van Vinh was still trusted by coach Ngo Quang Truong with a total of 23 appearances. In many matches, the veteran player's experience helped SLNA improve their control in the middle of the field.

And after the match between Hai Phong and SLNA in the last round of V.League 2016, he quietly said goodbye to his football career. His love for football has never ended, Van Vinh continued to study the B-AFC football coach training course that opened on October 26 in Hanoi. Because before that, during his playing time, this former midfielder had completed the C-level football coach course.

The AFC B-certified coach course has many members of SLNA Club.

Also attending this course with Van Vinh are Coach Nguyen Huy Hoang, Ho Viet Ha of SLNA U10 team and center back Nguyen Minh Duc. At the end of the course, students who complete the exam and meet the requirements will receive a B certificate issued by the Asian Football Confederation - AFC. According to the current regulations of the Vietnam Football Federation, to be able to work in the V.League, coaches must possess an A certificate from AFC.
