National Youth Taekwondo Championship: Nghe An won 1 silver and 2 bronze medals on the first day of competition

The National Youth Taekwondo Championship is an annual activity to promote the movement of physical training following the example of Uncle Ho; develop the movement of practicing and competing in Taekwondo among students, contributing to the comprehensive physical development of young people.
Through the tournament, we aim to discover and select outstanding athletes for high-performance sports and international competitions; at the same time, for Vietnam Taekwondo to review and re-evaluate the level of young Taekwondo athletes, thereby proposing positive development directions in the future.
The tournament has 35 delegations with 1,000 athletes from provinces and cities, including very strong localities such as: Hanoi; Thanh Hoa; Ho Chi Minh City; People's Police...

At the 2017 tournament, Nghe An delegation had 35 athletes participating in all age groups (under 12 years old; from 12 to 14 years old; from 15 to 17 years old and from 18 to 20 years old). Mr. Dang Dinh Hung, Deputy Head of Training Department of High Performance Sports Training Center, Head of Nghe An Taekwondo Department said that the delegation's goal at this year's tournament is to win 2 titles of Grandmaster and 2 gold medals.
On the first day of competition, Nghe An delegation achieved their first achievements. That was the silver medal of Nguyen Thi Hoai and 2 bronze medals of athletes Lu Hoang Quan; Nguyen Thi Thuy in the combat event. In particular, the most regrettable case was Nguyen Thi Hoai, who was gaining a lot of advantages when she broke her arm and could not continue competing.
