Dispersing extremists gathering to cause trouble in Binh Thuan
Regarding the incident in which some extremists caused disturbances and vandalized the headquarters of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province, by 8:00 a.m. on June 11, the roads in Phan Thiet city had been cleared and traffic was running normally. The authorities are investigating the disturbance.
The incident began at around 5:00 p.m. on June 10, when a group of people gathered around Phan Thiet market and gathered in front of the gate of the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, chanting slogans protesting the 99-year land lease and the formation of a special economic zone; gathered, shouted, and pushed the group of police and guards protecting the Provincial People's Committee.

This group of people incited and incited onlookers to use bricks and stones to attack the police force.
The incident culminated when many young people threw bricks and stones at the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province, causing chaos and disorder, attracting thousands of people to gather and watch, paralyzing traffic in the area.
The extremists continued to vandalize, cause trouble and shout; some of them also used homemade petrol bombs, bricks and other objects to attack the mobile police force, causing damage to some buildings of the Provincial People's Committee headquarters such as: knocking down fences, burning down guard posts, resting rooms of the police force... and continued to vandalize the fences of some other agencies of the province.
More than 15 motorbikes were burned and many other items were smashed and severely damaged.
Police and riot police were present to carry out their duties, mobilizing people to disperse and not gather.
After many unsuccessful attempts to disperse the crowd, at around 0:30 a.m. on June 11, the riot police force was reinforced to disperse the crowd; at the same time, a number of protesters were arrested to serve the investigation.
Faced with the determination of the mobile police force, the crowd gathering to cause trouble at the gate of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province was dispersed.
By around 2:00 a.m. on June 11, the crowd had completely dispersed. Roads leading to the provincial People's Committee headquarters were blocked to facilitate the investigation.
In Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province, at noon on June 10, National Highway 1A, passing through Phan Ri town, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province, was seriously jammed for kilometers. Here, dozens of people gathered on the highway, protesting the 99-year land lease.
Authorities sent officers to the scene to advise people to disperse and regulate traffic. The group threw bricks and rocks at the riot police, breaking the windows of many trucks on the road, causing a long traffic jam on Highway 1A.
Traffic police have been directing vehicles in the direction of Hoa Phu - Hoa Thang - Phan Thiet City to reduce traffic congestion. Authorities continue to persuade people to disperse and not gather in large numbers to avoid disturbing public order and security.
At around 2:00 a.m. on June 11, the crowd gathered on National Highway 1A through Phan Ri town, Tuy Phong district, was dispersed and traffic returned to normal.
According to Binh Thuan Provincial Police, several police officers suffered injuries while on duty. Binh Thuan Provincial Police confirmed that there were no deaths.
Currently, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province is calling on people not to listen to the instigation of extremists, leading to illegal actions and disturbing security and order./.
