Vietnam Talent Awards 2015 has 1 First Prize

The GPS/GNSS positioning solution set applied in high-precision positioning (cm size) and enhancing safety and security in satellite positioning - NAVISTAR by the group of authors of the International Center for Research and Development of Satellite Positioning Technology (NAVIS) of Hanoi University of Science and Technology has become the only product to win First Prize at the 2015 Vietnam Talent Awards.

The award ceremony was solemnly held on the evening of November 20 in Hanoi.

Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan and Mr. Tran Manh Hung - Chairman of the Board of Members of VNPT awarded the only First Prize of Vietnam Talent 2015.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Talent Award in the field of information technology has 3 main systems of competing products, including: Successful information technology products; prospects and applications on mobile devices. And, NAVIS won the first prize in the field of prospective information technology.

This NAVIS solution includes hardware, software and a service network that combines two main functional clusters: precise positioning and enhanced reliability, safety/security of positioning using GPS/GNSS satellites. The solution allows users to take full advantage of the practical benefits of positioning using GPS/GNSS satellites in many fields and industries...

In the field of successful information technology and mobile application, the Final Jury of Nhan Tai Dat Viet only selected two Second Prizes: Remote electronic meter data collection solution of Telecommunications Infrastructure Development Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company (successful) and Busmap-City Bus (young author group Le Yen Thanh, Pham Viet Khoi, Nguyen Hai Dang, To Huu Quan, Pham Minh Thai, Pham Nguyen Son Tung, Tran Minh Triet).

Along with the technology field, scientists in the fields of Science, Medicine and Environment with outstanding research works were also awarded.

Accordingly, the Second Prize in the environmental field belongs to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong and Thai Nguyen Construction and Environment Limited Company (Nam Dinh) with the project "Treatment of household waste, converting organic waste into biofertilizer to serve agricultural development in Ngo Dong town, Giao Thuy, Nam Dinh."

The First Prize in Medicine was awarded to Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Van Thach (Director of the Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Viet Duc Hospital) for his research on the application of advanced techniques in surgery to treat spinal disc herniation. The First Prize in Science and Technology was awarded to Colonel, Engineer Nguyen Manh Lan, Colonel, Engineer Cao Manh Van and their colleagues (Ba Son Corporation, General Department of Defense Industry).

The 2015 Vietnam Talent Promotion Award was given to Mr. Dinh Cong Vien (Kim Bang, Ha Nam) with his invention of a corn threshing, peanut threshing, soybean crushing, and rice crushing machine; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nam (Duyen Hai, Tra Vinh) with his invention of a clean hand robot and Mr. Bui Huu Nghia (Thu Thua-Long An) who self-studied and invented many jute harvesting machines, straw burying fertilizer machines...

Journalist Pham Huy Hoan, Editor-in-Chief of Dan Tri Newspaper, Co-Head of the Organizing Committee of Vietnam Talent 2015, said that starting from the field of information technology, the Award has gradually expanded from the Talent Encouragement Award to the Science, Medicine and Environment Award to honor prestigious scientists with research works highly appreciated by society.

“In 2015, the contest had nearly 300 contestants submitting products, including Vietnamese contestants from England, France, Germany, Russia, etc. participating. This proves that the award has had a positive impact on society and has a strong influence,” said Mr. Pham Huy Hoan.

According to Vietnam+
