Relieve joint pain with green cabbage.
Western folk medicine has a very effective remedy for joint pain that uses green cabbage leaves.
Many people suffer from joint pain due to rheumatism, arthritis, injuries, or strenuous activity. While pain relievers provide immediate relief, they often cause harmful side effects.

Cabbage leaves are rich in vitamin C, vitamin K, phytochemicals, and especially glutamine, a natural anti-inflammatory. Glutamine is abundant in the darkest outer leaves of the cabbage. Often, when cooking, people unknowingly discard these outer leaves, thinking they are old and tough.
Place the darker outer leaves of the cabbage on a flat surface (table, cutting board), and use a knife to cut off the tough, thick stems. Then, use a cylindrical wine bottle to roll back and forth over the leaves until they are bruised and release some juice. Place these bruised leaves in a microwave for about 15 seconds (if you don't have a microwave, you can steam the leaves until they are warm enough).
Wrap a warm cabbage leaf around the painful joint and secure it with a string (just enough to hold the leaf in place, not too tightly), leaving it in place for one hour. Afterwards, if you have time, replace it with a fresh leaf using the same method. It's best to do this before bed and leave it on overnight until morning, then replace it with a fresh cabbage leaf.
This method is effective, inexpensive, and certainly avoids the side effects of painkillers.
