Reduce joint pain with green cabbage
Western folk medicine has a remedy using green cabbage leaves to treat joint pain very effectively.
Many people have to deal with joint pain due to rheumatism, arthritis, trauma or strenuous activities... Pain relievers have immediate effects but cause many harmful side effects to the body.
Cabbage leaves contain a lot of vitamin C, vitamin K, phytochemicals and are especially rich in glutamine, a natural anti-inflammatory. Glutamine is abundant in the darkest leaves on the outside of the cabbage. Often when cooking, people do not know so they often throw away these outer leaves because they think they are old.
Place the dark outer leaves of the cabbage on a flat surface (table, cutting board), use a knife to cut off the hard and thick stem of the leaves. Then, use a cylindrical wine bottle to roll the leaves back and forth until they are crushed and release some juice. Microwave the crushed leaves for about 15 seconds (if you don’t have a microwave, you can steam the leaves until they are warm enough).
Wrap this warm cabbage leaf around the painful joint and tie it with a string (just enough to hold the leaf, not too tight), and leave it in place for an hour. Then, if you have time, replace it with a new leaf in the same way as above. It is best to do this before going to bed and leave it overnight until morning when you replace it with a new cabbage leaf.
This method is effective, cheap and certainly avoids the side effects of painkillers.
