Van Duc and Xuan Manh were only present with the team for 2 days (December 30, 2017) before Mr. Park and U23 Vietnam left for Changzhou (China) to attend the 2018 AFC U23 Championship.
In those years, the U21 SLNA youth teams did not have many quality young players. Therefore, this duo was not called up by Mr. Park during the nearly 1-month preparation process of U23 Vietnam. Of course, they were not allowed to go to Thailand to participate in the M-150 Cup, and did not participate in the friendly match with Ulsan Hyundai in Hanoi.
