On the occasion of the Traditional New Year of Quy Mao 2023, the Department of HealthNghe Anestablished working groups to inspect medical examination and treatment plans, epidemic prevention, food safety before, during and after Tet of medical units in the province and give gifts to medical staff in difficult circumstances.

Practical requirements require medical units to be proactive, grasp the situation, develop specific plans, scenarios, and strategies, avoid being passive, to effectively carry out medical examination and treatment, emergency care, epidemic prevention, and ensure food safety.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Director of Nghe An Department of Health requested: Nghi Loc, Dien Chau and Quynh Luu General Hospitals need to ensure 4 levels of on-call duty (leadership duty, hotline information handling; professional duty; administrative - logistics duty and security - self-defense duty); have plans for fire prevention, disasters, mass accidents; be ready to provide technical support to lower levels, and provide professional advice when necessary.

Hospitals need to organize emergency care and medical examination and treatment for patients well; stock up on medicine, blood, infusion fluids and necessary means and equipment for emergency care, medical examination and treatment, especially emergency care for traffic accidents and food poisoning; ensure that all emergency patients are examined and treated promptly, without refusal or delay; provide stable initial emergency care and provide full explanation before transferring to another medical facility.
Organize visits and celebrate Tet for patients still being treated at the hospital during Tet, paying special attention to poor patients and patients who are policy beneficiaries; continue to improve the spirit of serving patients, communicating and behaving thoughtfully and politely.

Hospitals develop plans to deal with accidents, poisonings, and mass emergencies that may occur such as: disasters caused by large gatherings of people, traffic accidents caused by alcohol, fights, firecrackers, homemade explosives, food poisoning... with external emergency plans to be ready to respond when bad situations occur.
Regarding Dien Chau and Quynh Luu Medical Centers, the Director of Nghe An Department of Health suggested: Units continue to closely monitor the epidemic situation, especially the emergence of new variants of Covid-19, proactively develop scenarios, response plans and implement responses to all possible situations; continue to strengthen screening, communication about benefits and be ready to deploy Covid-19 vaccination for target groups as soon as allocated; prepare plans and conditions to ensure prevention and control of other epidemics during the Lunar New Year 2023.

Regarding food safety, units need to promote communication on food safety; strengthen management of food production, processing, trading and catering establishments according to decentralization; coordinate with all levels of the industry to promote inspection, examination and handling of violations of food safety and hygiene.
Medical centers need to ensure 4 levels of staff; carry out professional reporting according to regulations; direct medical stations to organize well emergency care and medical examination and treatment for patients at the commune level.
During this working visit, the delegation of Nghe An Department of Health presented gifts to medical staff in difficult circumstances. It is known that during this Tet holiday, Nghe An health sector presented gifts to 333 medical staff in difficult circumstances. Each gift is worth 1 million VND./.
