Director of export support center goes to church during working hours
The Ministry of Industry and Trade established a Council to consider disciplining Mr. Bui Quang Hung, Director of the Export Support Center under the Trade Promotion Agency, who was determined to have "attended a ceremony during working hours".
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just established a Council, chaired by Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Khanh, to consider disciplining civil servants who go to pagodas during working hours.The officials identified as having violated the law on the morning of February 7 were Mr. Bui Quang Hung, Director of the Export Support Center under the Trade Promotion Agency, and several officials of the Center. The meeting to consider disciplining Mr. Hung is scheduled to take place on February 20.
For other officials and employees of the Export Support Center who attended the ceremony during working hours, the Ministry of Industry and Trade assigned the Trade Promotion Department to manage the staff according to the hierarchy and establish a Disciplinary Council for consideration.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade affirmed that these civil servants havesigns of violations of the Labor Law, the Law on Cadres and Civil Servants, the Law on Public Employees and Directive 26, as well as the Prime Minister's telegram prohibiting cadres and civil servants from attending ceremonies during working hours.
Minister of Industry and TradeMr. Tuan Anh requested the Party Committee and leaders of the Trade Promotion Department to review the responsibilities of the Department's leaders in managing civil servants and public employees under their management authority.
The fact that some officials used public vehicles to go to the temple was reported by the press on February 7. Accordingly, the person who wrote the memorial at the temple in Hung Yen confirmed that there was a group of officials and employees working at the Export Support Center, located at 20 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, under the Trade Promotion Agency.
