With the same discount, consumers who buy Mazda3 and Mazda6 models will receive additional accessory and insurance packages. |
Domestic car manufacturer Truong Hai has just applied new retail prices for two brands of Mazda passenger cars and Thaco commercial vehicles.
Specifically, from February 22, 2016, the retail price of the Mazda3 1.5L hatchback and sedan versions decreased by 9 million VND to 739 million VND and 719 million VND respectively; the 2.0L sedan version decreased by 11 million VND to 849 million VND.
The high-end mid-size sedan Mazda6 version equipped with 2.0L engine is reduced by 13 million VND to 965 million VND, the version equipped with 2.5L engine is reduced by 20 million VND to 1.119 billion VND.
These discounts are quite low. However, to compensate for the insignificant discounts, Truong Hai will give consumers additional insurance packages and accessories.
Thereby, the total incentive value that the 2 Mazda models enjoy ranges from 37 million VND to 58 million VND.
Along with Mazda, Truong Hai also applied a discount program for commercial vehicles under the brands Thaco Towner, Thaco Forland, Thaco Ollin and Thaco Hyundai. Of which, the Thaco Hyundai brand has the highest discount of 41 million VND.
According to Mr. Nguyen Mot, Director of Communications of Thaco Group, the reason why Thaco has been able to continuously build discount and incentive programs for consumers is due to efforts to cut costs in the production and business process.
“Thaco operates along the value chain from production, transportation to distribution and retail systems; at the same time, we always aim to develop the production and assembly of automobiles and spare parts towards participating in the global value chain. Therefore, we always control costs at the most appropriate level when bringing products to customers,” Mr. Mot shared.
Statistics from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) show that in 2015, Thaco's total sales volume reached 80,421 units, an increase of 90% compared to 2014.
From this result, Thaco has set a target of achieving total sales of 100,000 vehicles in 2016.
Of which, the truck product group achieved an output of 40,000 units, buses achieved 3,000 units; passenger cars under the three brands Kia, Mazda and Peugeot achieved a combined output of 57,000 units.
