Discounts on many services for workers' children in the 2023 'Union Welfare' program
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 8, in Vinh city, representatives of the Provincial Labor Culture House and Trade Unions of various sectors, Civil Servants' Trade Union, City Labor Federation, and Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union signed a cooperation agreement to ensure effective implementation of the content of the "Union member welfare" program in 2023.

The agreement aims to carry out the task of organizing grassroots activities, caring for and improving the spiritual life of workers and laborers in Industrial Parks, Industry Union Clusters and responding to the "Union Member Welfare" program launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The main contents worth noting are organizing programs to popularize swimming, prevent drowning, train in sports, arts, and martial arts; at the same time, deploy outdoor activities, experiences, cultural and artistic activities, and propagate the law.
Accordingly, regarding the popularization of swimming, training in table tennis, badminton, martial arts, etc., participating workers will receive a 15-20% reduction in costs. Activities such as visiting and experiencing historical revolutionary sites, President Ho Chi Minh’s hometown, and performing arts and culture are carried out completely free of charge.

The focus is on union members,workersin Industrial Parks, Industrial Clusters, Boarding Houses and other Trade Unions in the system in need; children of Trade Union officials, union members, workers aged 7 and older and children of Trade Union officials, union members, workers who are primary and secondary school students with high achievements in study and work.
From the tasks set out, the Provincial Labor Culture House is responsible for arranging and assigning people, locations, and facilities to ensure activities; arranging training and popularizing sports, dancing, hip hop, maximum 30 children/class; monitoring the children's learning process to have methods to support children with poorer learning. At the same time, implementing experiential activities and field trips; developing regulations, disseminating learning regulations and experiential activities to children before participating in the program; creating favorable conditions in terms of locations for cooperative units to organize dissemination of knowledge on drowning prevention; organizing a swimming competition to summarize the program.

The Trade Unions of the cooperating units are responsible for disseminating the content of the agreement to the grassroots Trade Unions; guiding the grassroots Trade Unions to submit registration documents for children to participate in activities; compiling the list of children registered to study and experience in order to arrange and schedule time and location, creating the most favorable conditions for children to participate.
