Product display booth in Que Phong reached 2 billion VND in revenue
(Baonghean.vn) -After Que Phong district opened a new booth to introduce local products, the goods sold well, creating a new source of income for the locals.
The store has an area of less than 30 square meters, gathering more than 100 typical products of ethnic minorities in Que Phong district such as brocade, rattan, bamboo, medicinal herbs...

From this store, many products of the people have been upgraded and reached out to the market; in particular, handicraft products and specialties of the mountainous region have been effectively exploited, and the artisans of Que land have passed them on to their descendants to preserve, conserve and develop.
Mr. Le Hai Truyen in Na Nga village (Muong Noc commune) said he learned rattan weaving since he was 10 years old. Up to now, he has been in the profession for more than 50 years. He weaves all kinds of products such as Co bem, Dung phat, pressed sticky rice, but the most popular is still rattan trays, because they always sell well.
Since opening a store to display and introduce typical products of Que Phong district, Mr. Truyen and people in the area have had more opportunities to express their aspirations and preserve traditional products of their ancestors and people.
“Since opening a store to introduce typical products of my district, my income has increased. Customers have placed orders much more than before,” Mr. Truyen shared.
At the store, products such as: Phac dam lem, Nhang cay to, Pi, Na nhinh (of the Mong people), Phac pa, Muong, Dung phat, trays, pressed sticky rice, blankets, man, brocade (of the Thai people); rattan chairs, Co bem, rattan trays (of the Khmu people), are all displayed and always in short supply. Wild honey, purple sticky rice, Japonica rice are also known and trusted by many people.

Medicinal herbs and traditional medicines such as Mu Tun, Xuyen Da, medicinal wine, medicinal herbs... of traditional medicine practitioners of Hanh Dich and Dong Van communes are also displayed and distributed nationwide. In particular, yellow flower tea is favored by customers, priced at 2.6 - 3.5 million VND/kg; green lim mushroom is priced at 1.8 million VND/kg; all products are registered for trademark copyright.
According to Ms. Sam Thi Yen, owner of the Que Phong district typical product store, since its opening until now, the store has earned an average of about 100 million VND per month. Recently, medicinal herbs, green vegetables... have been sold more, so revenue has increased.
More than 1 year since the booth displayed and sold typical products of the mountainous people, the store's sales reached more than 2 billion VND.
In addition to contributing to increasing income for people, the store is also a place to gather and promote products and produce of ethnic minorities in the mountainous areas of Que Phong district.
