Cheating on exam scores in Son La: 42 Literature exams had their scores reduced after review
The Department of Education and Training of Son La province has just announced the results of the Literature subject assessment. Accordingly, 42 exams had their scores reduced after assessment.
According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training of Son La, the number of exams with reduced scores after being assessed for Literature in this locality is 42.
There are 30 papers with a minimum score difference of 0.5, and 12 papers with a difference of 1 point or more, as Mr. Mai Van Trinh, Director of the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) announced at the previous press conference.

According to Mr. Mai Van Trinh, the working group of the Ministry of Education and Training compared the test scores on all candidates' test papers with the test results printed from the scoring support software (scores entered into the computer).
After comparison, the scores recorded on the Literature exam and the scores on the computer were basically the same. However, more than 10 exams had differences between the scores recorded on the exam and the scores entered into the computer (differences from 0.25 to 2.0 points).
In addition, the Evaluation Council has evaluated 110 Literature exam papers suspected of having unusually high scores according to the Examination Regulations.
With Literature: Based on the Regulations, the Appraisal Council decides:
Use the assessment results of 110 Literature exams to replace the scoring results of these exams announced by the Examination Council of the Department of Education and Training of Son La on July 11, 2018.
The assessment results of these 110 papers will be used to consider high school graduation recognition and university, college and intermediate school admissions in 2018 according to regulations.

With multiple choice tests:Temporarily still recognize the test results of multiple-choice subjects of candidates announced on July 11, 2018;
This result is temporarily still used to consider recognition of high school graduation and admission to universities, colleges of education, and intermediate schools of education in 2018 according to regulations;
Authorities continue to investigate and implement professional measures to determine signs of violations in correcting multiple-choice test papers of some candidates;
When the investigation results are available, the exam results of the candidates involved will be processed according to the Regulations. Those results will be the official exam results of the candidates in the 2018 National High School Exam.
