The subjects provided information that they had many relationships and acquaintances with the traffic police force, and were able to "make the law, cover the law", making some vehicle owners and drivers believe them and give money to the subjects.

The Investigation Police Agency of Son La Province informed that the unit has issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case and prosecute three suspects Vu Thai Son, Nguyen Van Thuong and Vi Van Lam (members of TEAM GTVM26 Group) for the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

The TEAM GTVM26 group was established and operates with the purpose of posting articles strictly, in compliance with the law, not causing offense, not violating traditional customs and traditions, discussing politics, religion, not swearing, cursing, insulting people, etc. During its operation, this group has contributed to reflecting some beautiful images in traffic participation, compliance and propaganda of the Road Traffic Law, raising awareness of law compliance of traffic participants, spreading some beautiful, positive images of the Traffic Police - Order (CSGT-TT), towards building a culture of safe and lawful traffic, etc.

However, during the operation, the Investigation Police Department of Son La Province discovered that the three subjects Son, Thuong and Lam, along with a number of other subjects, took advantage of being members of the group to secretly and publicly film videos and take photos of patrolling, controlling and handling violations by the Traffic Police force of Son La Police in order to cause harassment and illegally interfere in the performance of duties of the Traffic Police force, influencing the request to change the form of handling for violators such as: asking for a vehicle, asking for a reduced fine, asking not to be handled for violations to benefit from violators.

The subjects also provided false information that they had many relationships and acquaintances with the Traffic Police of Son La Provincial Police, and were able to "make the law, cover the law", making some vehicle owners and drivers believe them and give them money. In particular, this group of subjects took money from some vehicle owners and drivers of heavy-duty vehicles, who regularly transported goods on the roads of Son La, but were still handled by the authorities when they violated the law.

Based on the citizen's complaint and the collected verification documents, the Son La Provincial Police Department has issued a decision to initiate a criminal case and prosecute Vu Thai Son (born in 1982, residing in Chieng Sinh Ward, Son La City), a lecturer at Tay Bac University, Nguyen Van Thuong (born in 2003, residing in Moc Chau Farm Town, Moc Chau District) and Vi Van Lam (born in 2002, residing in Chieng Cang Commune, Song Ma District) for the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

Currently, the Son La Provincial Police Department is continuing to investigate and expand the case.

The Son La Provincial Police Department informs organizations and individuals in the area that anyone who is a victim or a relative of a victim, who knows about the above group of subjects' violations, to provide relevant information and documents to the Provincial Police Department at 678 Le Duan Street, Group 5, Chieng Sinh Ward, Son La City (meet comrade Nguyen Van Thuy - Investigator, phone number 0979.789.977) for resolution. All information about the provider will be kept confidential; relevant information and documents will be used in accordance with the law to serve the investigation.

People who voluntarily declare and provide information and documents to the Investigation Police Agency without violating criminal law will be required to return all money given to the subjects.
