"The phenomenon" Sabine Lisicki had a thrilling victory over Agnieszka Radwanska to advance to the 2013 Wimbledon women's singles final.

The match ended with a victory for Lisicki with scores of 6-4, 2-6, and 9-7. Both players delivered a spectacular match for the viewers, where all emotions were building up and then exploding in the final minutes.

Lisicki couldn't believe her eyes after winning.

After this nail-biting victory, Lisicki collapsed onto the pitch in joy, while Radwanska appeared quite resentful. When asked why she didn't congratulate her opponent more enthusiastically, Radwanska replied: "What else could I do? Stand there and start jumping around?"

Thus, Lisicki once again caused a shock after eliminating the number one seed Serena Williams. Entering the press conference room, her hands still trembling, Lisicki said, "I don't know why."

The 23-year-old female tennis player became the first German to reach a Grand Slam final since Steffi Graf in the women's singles. It was Graf herself who texted Lisicki before the match.

Marion Bartoli will be Lisicki's opponent in the final.

Lisicki revealed: “She wished me good luck. It’s such a great feeling to reach the Wimbledon final. I’ve dreamed of this match since I was a little girl. I can’t imagine a better place to play my first Grand Slam final.”

Lisicki's opponent in the final will be a rather tough player, Marion Bartoli, who just won convincingly against Flipkens with scores of 6-1 and 6-2.
