Winning against U19 Binh Duong, U19 Song Lam Nghe An has a wide open door to the next round

Before entering the second match of Group C, the 2023 National U19 Finals,U19 Song Lam Nghe Anwon 1 point after drawing with U19 Thanh Hoa with a score of 1-1. The person who scored the equalizer for the Nghe An team was Quoc Hoa, unfortunately the 16-year-old striker could not participate in this match due to injury. In addition, coach Nguyen Van Vinh also continued to choose the 4-2-3-1 formation as in the previous match to compete with U19 Binh Duong.

Notably, in the match that took place right before, U19 Thanh Hoa won 4-2 against U19 Dong Thap, so U19 Song Lam Nghe An is determined to win all 3 points to compete for the top position in Group C.

This was demonstrated by coach Nguyen Van Vinh's students as soon as the opening whistle blew. U19 Song Lam Nghe An took the initiative to control the game and attack. The two wings were still the main attacking direction of the Nghe An team, with the participation of midfielders Le Dinh Long Vu and Truong Van Tuyen. However, U19 Binh Duong did not want to leave Tay Ninh Stadium empty-handed, so they organized a tight defense and were not afraid of collisions when necessary.

That way of playing of the team from the land of Thu showed its reasonableness, because it was not until the 19th minute that Quang Vinh made the first shot for U19 Song Lam Nghe An. However, the close-range shot of the midfielder wearing the number 9 shirt was blocked by Binh Duong defenders.

To increase the chances of scoring, coach Nguyen Van Vinh instructed his players to increase the pace of attack. In addition, the coach asked the Nghe An players to organize more flexible attacks. This style of play caused many gaps in Binh Duong's defense for U19 Song Lam Nghe An to exploit.

In the 34th minute, Long Vu had a chance to open the score for Song Lam Nghe An but failed. From a precise pass into the middle of the opponent's penalty area by his teammate, Long Vu received the ball reasonably, but this player kicked too lightly and could not defeat the Binh Duong goalkeeper.

Maintaining constant pressure on the opponent's goal, U19 Song Lam Nghe An got what they needed, with the opening goal in the 37th minute. From an individual effort on the left wing, Truong Van Tuyen boldly broke through a series of Binh Duong defenders before shooting the ball at a narrow angle, bringing the lead to U19 Song Lam Nghe An.

Right at the beginning of the second half, U19 Song Lam Nghe An continued to create a clear scoring opportunity in front of Binh Duong's goal, but Phan Duy Hao's cross from his teammate was not accurate enough to double the gap for the Nghe team.

Entering the second half, U19 Binh Duong boldly organized attacks, but their attacks still did not have the necessary breakthrough to penetrate Xuan Son's net.

However, in the 65th minute, Binh Duong unexpectedly scored an equalizer. From a free kick, the ball was hung in the middle of Song Lam Nghe An's penalty area, Tran Tien Dat rushed in and bravely headed the ball to bring the match back to the starting line.

After the opponent equalized, Van Son entered the penalty area to head the ball, but with a distance of less than 10m from Binh Duong's goal, the defender wearing shirt number 3 still sent the ball wide of the post.

However, with the determination to win all 3 points, the U19 Song Lam Nghe An players put all their efforts into pressuring their opponents. And in the 73rd minute, they scored a goal to increase the score to 2-1. Quang Vinh got the ball from outside the penalty area, this player handled the ball to eliminate the Binh Duong defender before unleashing a powerful shot, bringing the lead to U19 Song Lam Nghe An.

In the final minutes of the match, U19 Binh Duong received a direct red card, but the match score remained 2-1 in favor of U19 Song Lam Nghe An.

With this victory, U19 Song Lam Nghe An has opened the door to hold a ticket to the quarter-finals.

On April 27, U19 Song Lam Nghe An will have the final match in the group stage against U19 Dong Thap.
