Assignment of socio-economic development plan targets for 2018

According to Decision No.01/QD-TTgThe Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment to set a target of 6.7% GDP growth rate, average consumer price index (CPI) growth rate of about 4%, total social development investment capital compared to GDP of 33 - 34%, and the rate of industrial parks and export processing zones in operation with centralized wastewater treatment systems meeting environmental standards of 88%.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development was assigned the target of forest coverage rate in 2018 at about 41.6%.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade was assigned the following plan targets for 2018: Export turnover growth rate of 8-10%, trade deficit ratio compared to total export turnover of less than 3%.

The Ministry of Health is assigned a target of 26 hospital beds per 10,000 people (excluding commune health station beds), with a population rate of over 88.5% participating in health insurance.

The 2018 plan targets assigned to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs include: The poverty rate reduction according to the multidimensional poverty standard is from 1-1.5%, in which the poverty rate in poor districts is reduced by 4%; the unemployment rate in urban areas is below 4%; the rate of trained workers is from 58 - 60%, in which the rate of trained workers for 3 months or more with training recognition certificates is 23 - 23.5%.

The Prime Minister authorizes the Minister of Planning and Investment to assign the 2018 socio-economic development plan targets on information and communication, education and training, and basic investigation tasks to ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, and other central agencies. Basic investigation tasks are assigned according to the principles of thrift, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.

The Minister of Planning and Investment informs the owner representative agencies to know and assign production and business tasks in 2018 to State-owned Corporations and Groups according to regulations.

The Prime Minister requested that, based on the above assigned targets, Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies, other central agencies, State-owned corporations and groups assign socio-economic development plan targets for 2018 to relevant units before January 31, 2018. Organize the implementation and completion of socio-economic development plan targets for 2018 assigned according to Resolution No. 48/2017/QH14 of the National Assembly and this Decision.

At the same time, periodically send quarterly reports on the implementation of the 2018 socio-economic development plan to the Ministry of Planning and Investment for synthesis and reporting to the Government.
