In economic development, Mr. Luyen has invested in raising dairy cows. Borrowing more than 200 million VND from the bank, he invested in raising 10 dairy cows. Currently, there are 5 cows in the barn that are giving milk, giving an average of more than 80 liters of milk per day; with a price of 12,000 VND/liter, after deducting expenses, he still earns nearly 1 million VND in profit.

“The first days of raising dairy cows were difficult because I had no experience and techniques, but I gradually learned and got used to it. The important thing is to ensure the cows' nutrition, regularly clean and vaccinate them properly... To raise dairy cows effectively, the barn must be airy, clean, and have a waste treatment facility to reduce environmental pollution; buy breeding cows from reputable farms, especially the breed must be adapted to local climate conditions and always have enough food for the cows" - Mr. Luyen shared.

To ensure input costs and milk quality, in addition to fresh grass, he also feeds the cows with mixed feed such as corn, rice bran and other by-products. On average, each dairy cow eats 10kg of mixed feed and 20kg of fresh grass per day.

He regularly propagated and mobilized relatives in his family and residential areas to live and act according to the constitution and law, to strictly implement village conventions and local regulations, to live a good life, to respect God and love the country, to always practice pioneering spirit in production, to build solidarity between religions and non-religious people, and to call on everyone to join hands in building the New Rural Area.

He mobilized people in the village to actively participate in contributing to funds, charitable activities to support the poor, families with meritorious services, students with difficult circumstances and donations launched by associations at all levels.

In the activities of the neighborhood and organizations, he often made constructive contributions, creating high prestige in the hearts of the people. He himself always actively participated in patriotic emulation movements launched by the Fatherland Front at all levels and localities such as the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", "Living a good life, living a good religion" among Catholics launched by the Catholic Solidarity Committee. He was trusted and loved by the parishioners.

Speaking about parishioner Pham Van Luyen, Ms. Vo Thi Huyen - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghia An commune said: "In economic development, his family is one of the households that rose from nothing to become rich. Especially in the movement to build new rural areas, he and the executive committee of hamlets 10A and 10B mobilized people to donate land and contribute money to build rural roads. Up to now, hamlet 10B has completed 12/19 criteria, and it is expected that by early 2019 the hamlet will reach the new rural finish line."

Recently, he was honored to be selected as one of 11 delegates, representing more than 350 parishioners of Dong Tam parish to participate in the 7th Congress of Catholics for National Construction and Protection of Nghia Dan district, term 2017-2022. /.
