Dong Yen parish celebrates Saint Joseph's Patron Saint's Day

On March 20, Dong Yen parish of Yen Dai parish, Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city held the Patron Saint Joseph's Feast.
Attending the mass were Bishop Phaolo Maria Cao Dinh Thuyen (former Bishop of Vinh Diocese), many guest priests and many parishioners inside and outside Dong Yen parish, Yen Dai parish.

During the Mass, the parish recalled the merits and contributions of Saint Joseph (the earthly father of Jesus) to the Church and performed a ceremony to express respect.

Located in Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city, about 13km from Vinh Diocese Bishop's Palace (Nghi Dien commune, Nghi Loc district), Dong Yen parish was established in 1917, one of the earliest parishes of Yen Dai parish.
Currently, Dong Yen has 460 households with more than 1,800 people. The parishioners here live mainly by trading and business. Compared to the neighboring Catholic areas, the economic life here is somewhat superior and more prosperous.
