Celebrating the National Day of the Kingdom of Spain.

(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate the National Day of the Kingdom of Spain on October 12th and the 15th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nghe An and Spain, the Vietnam-Spain Friendship Association of Nghe An province held a friendly exchange on the morning of October 12th in Vinh City. Participating in the exchange were representatives from several provincial departments and agencies; representatives from the Nghe An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations; and representatives from other provincial friendship associations.

Overview of the exchange event

At the exchange event, following the welcoming cultural performance, Mr. Pham Minh Dao, Chairman of the Vietnam-Spain Friendship Association of Nghe An province, delivered a speech celebrating the National Day of the Kingdom of Spain; introduced some aspects of the country and people of the Kingdom of Spain; and reviewed the diplomatic relations and cooperation for mutual development between Vietnam and Spain.

For Nghe An province, 15 years of diplomatic relations (starting in 1999) have seen many cooperative activities and assistance in various fields such as economics, culture, health, poverty reduction, gender equality, and improving the quality of grassroots officials. For example, through non-governmental organizations, Spain has provided tens of billions of VND to build rural bridges in the districts of Nam Dan, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, and Nghia Dan; and tens of billions of VND to support the upgrading of technical facilities, treatment centers, and training of medical staff for the health centers and general hospitals in the districts of Nam Dan, Yen Thanh, Tan Ky, Do Luong, Quy Hop, and the commune health stations in these districts. Supporting training and capacity building in monitoring and implementing administrative laws for provincial and district-level management agencies... The cooperative and people-to-people diplomatic relations between Nghe An province and Spain are increasingly strengthened and consolidated, contributing to the successful implementation of the Party and State's policies at all levels on people-to-people diplomacy.

At the conference, delegates shared their sincere feelings and gratitude to the experts, non-governmental organizations in particular, and the Kingdom of Spain in general, for their cooperation, assistance, and support in many fields, contributing to the socio-economic development of Nghe An province. They also expressed their desire to further expand the strong and extensive cooperative relationship between Nghe An province and Spain.

The People's Committee of Nghe An province awarded a Certificate of Commendation to the Vietnam-Spain Friendship Association of Nghe An province.

On this occasion, authorized by the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of the Nghe An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations presented a Certificate of Commendation from the Provincial People's Committee to the Vietnam-Spain Friendship Association of Nghe An Province for its significant contributions to the province's foreign affairs.
