Discussion session "The Legal Profession - Opportunities and Challenges"

(Baonghean.vn) - As part of the activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Lawyers and the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the Nghe An Provincial Bar Association, a discussion program titled "The Legal Profession - Opportunities and Challenges" was held at Vinh University on the evening of October 2nd.

Attending the event were Lawyer Bui Quang Vinh, Member of the National Bar Council, Head of the Quang Tri Provincial Bar Association; the Executive Board of the Nghe An Bar Association; the Board of Directors of Vinh University and hundreds of law students.

Over the past 70 years, generations of Vietnamese lawyers have made significant efforts and contributions to the struggle for independence, the defense of the homeland, and the building of the country.

Bar associations and lawyers nationwide have overcome difficulties and made increasingly significant contributions to building a democratic, fair, and civilized judicial system, constructing a socialist rule of law state, and gradually building a positive image of the Vietnamese legal profession.

During the exchange session, students from the Faculty of Law - Vinh University listened to Lawyer Bui Quang Vinh, Member of the National Bar Council and Head of the Quang Tri Provincial Bar Association, share his memories from his years of professional practice.

Hundreds of law students from Vinh University participated in the exchange program.

In addition, the students also heard Colonel Le Duc Long, Head of PC44 Department and Deputy Head of the Police Investigation Agency, assess the role of lawyers in Nghe An province and their efforts in resolving difficulties when defending clients in court.

The program was lively with many questions from law students to lawyers about the role and position of the legal profession, as well as the challenges lawyers face in their work… On this occasion, the Nghe An Bar Association and the Faculty of Law (Vinh University) signed an agreement to cooperate in supporting practical training for students.
