Art exchange "Hoan Chau's spirit"
(Baonghean.vn) -On the evening of February 12, at the tomb of King Mai Hac De (Van Dien commune), the People's Committee of Nam Dan district coordinated with the Department of Culture - Sports - Tourism to organize an art exchange program with the theme "Hoan Chau's heroic spirit".
Participating in the exchange were leaders of the Department of Culture - Sports - Tourism and Vinh city, Cua Lo town; representatives of the Mai clan and Nam Dan people from provinces and cities across the country, along with a large number of Nam Dan people and tourists from all over the country.
At the art exchange ceremony, more than 50 mass art actors from 3 units of Vinh city, Cua Lo town and Nam Dan district brought to the exchange special art performances praising the life, career and merits of King Mai Hac De and the generals associated with the Hoan Chau uprising to drive out the Tang invaders, liberate the country, and save the people from suffering in 722.

This is an art exchange program that honors historical and cultural values; at the same time, it contributes to enhancing cultural and tourism exchanges between the three key tourist destinations of the province, including Cua Lo town, Vinh city and Nam Dan district, and at the same time aims to implement the project "Improving the quality of destinations and building a cultural and tourism environment, period 2013 - 2015" signed by the Department of Culture - Sports - Tourism and Vinh city, Cua Lo town, Nam Dan district.

Previously, in the afternoon of the same day, the People's Committee of Nam Dan district held the Announcement Ceremony at the King Mai's mother's area, the King Mai's tomb and temple, and launched many activities of the King Mai Temple festival in 2014, such as the opening of the 2014 district-level women's volleyball finals; the opening of the traditional wrestling tournament at the King Mai festival; and the setting up of a camp, attracting a large number of people and tourists from all over the country to participate.
On February 13, 2014, the 14th day of the first lunar month of the year of the Horse, the 2014 Mai King Temple Festival officially opened with many solemn and exciting activities.
