Sports and cultural exchange to celebrate Vietnamese Doctors' Day
(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate the 59th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2014), from February 23 to February 25, 2014, Nghe An Department of Health organized a badminton competition and a cultural exchange to celebrate; attended by representatives of the Department of Health, Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation and many officials and employees of the health sector.
This year’s badminton tournament has 60 athletes from specialized centers, provincial hospitals, public and non-public hospitals in Vinh city and surrounding areas. The athletes compete in 2 categories: men’s and women’s doubles under 45 years old; men’s and women’s doubles over 45 years old. The round-robin matches are scored to select the top 2 teams to compete in the finals.

The cultural exchange included 18 solo, group and skit performances by amateur singers and artists. The performances focused on praising the Party, the country and honoring the doctors in Uncle Ho's homeland.
The exchange program is a practical cultural, artistic and sports activity for health workers to improve their health and demonstrate their talents, thereby encouraging doctors to improve and take better care of their expertise and profession to serve the people better./.
