US professor says Ukraine's weakness makes the West more aggressive
The West, witnessing the failures of the Ukrainian armed forces on the battlefield, is taking an increasingly aggressive anti-Russian stance, American history professor Peter Kuznik said on the WION news channel.
“Seeing Ukraine’s weakness, many Western countries are not inclined towards diplomacy but towards aggression. We see this in the statements of Cameron and Blinken about allowing the use of British and American weapons to strike Russian territory, as well as in Macron’s statements about sending NATO troops,” the professor said.

Mr. Kuznik also stressed that the Ukrainian armed forces are seriously lacking in weapons, manpower and the ability to use difficult-to-operate weapons provided by NATO. However, Ukraine continues to fight, which makes the situation more dangerous and can cause the conflict to spread and possibly lead to world war.
“The sooner Ukraine agrees to negotiations and begins to seek a diplomatic solution, the better,” the US expert concluded.
In the West, there has been increasing talk recently about direct intervention in the Ukraine conflict. Specifically, French President Emmanuel Macron spoke about the possibility of sending French troops to Ukraine, while British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said that it was acceptable for Ukrainian armed forces to use British missiles to attack Russian territory. Later, British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps admitted that Kiev had indeed been given permission by London to use British weapons to attack Crimea, because the country considered the peninsula to be Ukrainian territory.
The Kremlin called what is happening an unprecedented spiral of escalation that requires special measures and attention. According to Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, the Europeans see that the situation is changing rapidly and there is a risk of Ukraine's complete collapse, so they are deliberately inflaming the situation.
