Compared to the current regulations, the new standards are more numerous and higher, especially candidates must have international scientific publications. Specifically, by 2019, candidates for the title of professor in the field of Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technology must be the main author and have published at least 2 scientific articles in international scientific journals in the ISI, Scopus system; or have at least one scientific article in the ISI, Scopus system and a book or book chapter for training published by a reputable publisher in the world; or at least one scientific article in the ISI, Scopus system and a patent. This draft later received many mixed opinions, so in 2017, the criteria of Decision 174 (2008) were still applied to consider and recognize the titles of professor and associate professor. In this review, more than 1,200 people met the standards of professor and associate professor, 1.7 times more than in 2016 and 2.3 times more than in 2015. |
