(Baonghean.vn) - This is a meaningful and humane activity, aiming to promptly encourage teachers in non-public schools who are facing many difficulties both materially and spiritually.

On the afternoon of January 14, the Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Education Trade Union to organize the "Tet Sum Vay" program to celebrate the Spring of Canh Ty 2020 for cadres, teachers, and workers of non-public schools in Dien Chau and Quynh Luu districts.

This is the third year the "Tet Sum Vay" program has been organized in response to the call of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to take care of Tet for union members and workers.

Previously, on January 13, the Department of Education and Training also held a conference for non-public schools to resolve difficulties and obstacles for schools during their operations.

Currently, non-public schools account for 25% of high schools in the province, but in recent years, the operations of these schools have been very difficult, and the living standards of many teachers and staff are still very low, not ensuring a living.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training highly appreciated the efforts of non-public schools in the province. In particular, despite many difficulties, many schools still do well in teaching and learning, have many examples of teachers overcoming difficulties, achieving many high achievements in training excellent students and provincial excellent teacher competitions.

The implementation of the Tet Sum Vay program aims to bring cadres, teachers and workers a warm and happy Tet.

This also demonstrates the accompaniment of the Department of Education and Training with all schools in the province, contributing to promoting innovation and shortening the gap between units in the whole industry.

On this occasion, the Education Trade Union and the Department of Education and Training presented 210 gifts to officials, teachers, and employees of 6 non-public schools and some teachers in difficult circumstances in Dien Chau and Quynh Luu districts, each gift worth 500,000 VND. The total value of the gifts was 103 million VND.
