(Baonghean.vn) - 3 teachers living in remote areas quietly helped each other push their carts over a landslide on the road to enter the Huoi Poc village school (Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An) to prepare to welcome students to the new school year.

Hết phép, ngày 28/8, các giáo viên điểm trường mầm non Huồi Pốc ( Trường Mầm non Nậm Cắn) lại băng con đường dài, vượt dốc đứng vào bản để chuẩn bị năm học mới.
From August 28, teachers of Huoi Poc Kindergarten (Nam Can Kindergarten, Nam Can commune) crossed the long road, over steep slopes to enter the village to prepare.new school year.
Sau trận mưa mấy ngày trước, đường vào bản bị sạt lở nghiêm trọng, con đường vào bản của các nữ giáo viên trở nên gian nan hơn.
After the rain a few days ago, the road to Huoi Poc village was seriously eroded, making the road to the village of the womenteacherbecome more difficult.

The steep slopes, along with the dirt and rocks that form the buffalo ditch, have several times knocked over the motorbike of young teacher Tran Thi Hong Ngan (born in 1995). This is Ms. Ngan’s second year in Huoi Poc.
Hơn năm trời đi con đường này
"I've been walking this road for more than a year, but it still doesn't let me get used to it, especially on rainy days. There are days when I come to school with only my eyes clean of mud. Many times along the way, I just want to cry" - Hong Ngan shared.
Huoi Poc village is located in Nam Can commune, bordering Vietnam - Laos. The village has 165 households, 847 people, with a poverty rate of nearly 53%. This is one of the most difficult villages in Nam Can commune as well as Ky Son district.
Điểm trường mầm non nằm một mình ở cuối bản Huồi Pốc, trên một dốc núi cao. Điểm trường có 3 lớp học với 73 học sinh.
The kindergarten is located alone at the end of Huoi Poc village, on a high mountain slope. This separate school has only 3 classes with 73 students.
To prepare for the new school year, teachers and parents weed, plant flowers, clean and redecorate the classroom.

“During the recent rains, the road from the village to the school was almost completely washed away, making it difficult for students to travel. The school had to wait for villagers to return from their fields to repair it together,” said teacher Lo Thanh Hien.

Huoi Poc Kindergarten was built in 2004 and has now deteriorated. During the summer break, teachers had to move their teaching materials to the community house to store.

"The new school year is about to begin, but the classrooms are almost completely eaten by termites, making it unsafe for students and teachers to teach and learn. Just one thunderstorm or strong wind is all it takes for teachers to let students take a day off," said teacher Pham Thi Thanh Tram, Principal of Nam Can Kindergarten.

The new school year begins, coinciding with the time when preschoolers still follow their parents to “sleep in the fields”, and only after the harvest is the children are brought back to school to start school. Encouraging the children to return to school at the beginning of the school year is also a difficult task for teachers here.
