Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thai Huy Vinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training introduced the new General Education program. However, in order for the program to be effectively implemented from the next school year (for first graders), implementation is still facing many difficulties.

In a constructive spirit, at the workshop, many delegates frankly mentioned the current problems. On that basis, many solutions were also proposed to help the implementation of the new comprehensive general education program effectively and achieve the set goals in the spirit of comprehensive fundamental innovation in education and training.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Anh - Chairman of the Provincial Association of Psychology and Education: Currently, the teaching staff of the province still has many problems. Among them, the senior staff who were trained and taught according to the old program still have a conservative mentality, teach heavily on theory, are not proficient in applying information technology to serve teaching and will face obstacles when switching from the current general education program to the new program.
Besides, for a long time, teachers trained under the old curriculum only taught one or two subjects at the junior high and high school levels. Now teaching under the integrated curriculum will face difficulties.
