High school teacher in Vinh City was suspended from his position as head teacher due to involvement in socialized fee collection.

On the afternoon of February 25, responding to Nghe An Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoan - Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training said: The Department has received information reflecting from a parent of class 12D1 - Huynh Thuc Khang High School about the homeroom teacher insulting students surrounding the implementation of socialized collection in the class.

After receiving the information, the Department directly directed the principal of Huynh Thuc Khang High School to immediately establish a team to verify the incident reported by parents. The school also needs to promptly respond to parents and relevant agencies about the above incident to avoid affecting activities and create a stable mentality for students, parents of the whole school as well as stability in public opinion.

Regarding this issue, through an exchange with Nghe An Newspaper, Mr. Phan Xuan Phan - Principal of Huynh Thuc Khang High School also said: The school has accepted the direction of the Department of Education and Training and has established a verification team to receive the incident.

This is also an unfortunate incident, related to the work of the homeroom teacher, causing negative impacts on public opinion and creating fear for students. For now, the school has directed to temporarily suspend all work for this teacher in class 12D1. After the verification results are available, if the parents' reflection is correct, the school will strictly handle the offending teacher.

Previously, the parents of Hoang Thi NQ (student of class 12D1) sent a petition to the Department of Education and Training and the Board of Directors of Huynh Thuc Khang High School to denounce the homeroom teacher Vuong Thi L. regarding the process of collecting socialized sponsorship money.

The parents unanimously agreed to sponsor, without any objection. However, the next day, Ms. L. assigned the class monitor to distribute a summary of educational sponsorship forms to the students in the class to write down the amount of support and sign the parents' names. Hoang Thi NQ filled out the sponsorship form with 1.2 million VND like many other students in the class. When receiving the form from the students, Ms. L. reminded the whole class to discuss with the parents to pay the exact amount as the students wrote on the form.

Q.'s parents then texted Ms. L. to ask her to send a separate sponsorship form to write the donation amount and sign it correctly, but the teacher did not agree. According to the complaint, Ms. L. steered the story that Q.'s parents raised in another direction. Meanwhile, the parents only asked her to send back the education sponsorship form to fill it out correctly.

On Monday afternoon (February 20), during the make-up class, during Ms. L's English class, she used her teaching time to call Q. and the class monitor to stand up for a "confrontation". During the class, she used many words to criticize and insult Q., making him worried, scared, and crying when he told his parents.

According to the parents, since the incident, Ms. L. has not apologized for the incident. The family is outraged by Ms. L.'s entire behavior and has requested the Department and the Board of Directors of Huynh Thuc Khang High School to review the homeroom teacher's work and teaching.
