Huoi May is located on steep terrain, rugged mountains and forests, so it is almost isolated from other residential areas. This area currently has many "no"s: no roads, no electricity grid, no medical stations, no phone signals and no production fields. People mainly live by clearing land for farming, hunting, gathering and relying on support policies from the State and local authorities. This is also the place where Huoi May school belongs to Cam Muon 2 Primary School, Cam Muon commune. The school has 3 teachers living in the village, organizing combined classes.
