Teachers in Nghe An highlands personally renovate boarding classrooms for students
(Baonghean.vn) - To help students avoid lack of accommodation and beds after starting the new school year 2021 - 2022, teachers in the mountainous districts of Tuong Duong and Ky Son started to renovate rooms and make beds for the students.
These days, in schools in the mountainous areas of Nghe An, teachers have returned from summer leave and are preparing for the new school year. In schools lacking in facilities, teachers are starting to work on renovating the accommodation for boarding students. At Mai Son Primary School (Tuong Duong District), the new school year has 280 students, of which 120 are boarding students. As this is the first year of implementing the boarding school model for primary school, there are not enough rooms for students to stay in, so the school has been forced to use temporary rooms as accommodation for students. All teachers were mobilized to split bamboo and reeds to make rooms and beds for students. The main materials used are bamboo and wood obtained from the village. Photo: Dao Tho |

Mr. Dang Van Hai - Principal of Mai Son Primary School shared: Students from remote locations come to study at the main school quite far, from 10 to 12 km. In villages like Pha Khao and Pieng Cooc, students have to walk for 2 hours, so they all have to stay at the boarding school. Due to the lack of facilities at the school, at the beginning of the school year, the school and parents organized to build houses for students from bamboo and thatch and requisitioned 3 more bedrooms of teachers so that the students have a place to stay right at the beginning of the school year.
