The Math test is in the form of a multiple choice test with 50 questions and is considered difficult by many candidates. Commenting on this year's exam, many teachers said that the exam was good because it differentiated the candidates.
Regarding the exam, Mr. Do Van Binh - Math teacher, Hoang Mai High School (Hoang Mai town) said: This year's exam is consistent with the sample exam structure of the Ministry of Education and Training and is within the scope of knowledge of the textbook program. Therefore, students must have been familiar with the types of questions in the exam and reviewed during their time at school.

In a detailed analysis, Mr. Binh said: From question 1 to question 35, the level of the test for students taking the high school graduation exam, falls into the level of recognition and understanding. However, in this question section, the level of recognition seems to be "tougher" than the previous mock test. For example, question 1 of test code 106 asks about the volume of a cylinder and a pyramid. The nature of the question is not difficult, and it is indeed recognition. But it leans a bit towards the understanding part. Therefore, students who are not yet studying may find it more difficult than the questions and students who are familiar with and practice at home.
The questions from question 35 to question 40 are the beginning of the application part but are not highly differentiated and students with good academic ability and adequate review can handle them.
Particularly, questions 40 to 50 have strong differentiation. Of which, the 3 questions with the strongest differentiation are geometry, Oxyz spatial coordinates, followed by complex numbers, exponential functions and logarithmic functions. Of which, the "key question" is the Oxyz coordinates question. Teacher Binh also said: For these questions, only students who are very good at Math, intelligent, have practiced a lot, and have fast problem-solving speed can do them.

With this year's Math exam, Mr. Binh commented that there was a clear level of differentiation for each group of students, achieving two goals: high school graduation and university admission. The number of candidates achieving a perfect score of 10 will not be many.
Similarly, teacher Nguyen Huu Thanh - Bac Yen Thanh High School also assessed that the 50 questions of this year's Math exam were completely within the textbook program, closely following the illustrated exam.
For these types of Math, teachers in charge of reviewing Math exams at high schools have certainly taught and reviewed them thoroughly and many times for students from the level of recognition to understanding, application and high application.
In addition, these types of Math are also often found in practice tests and test banks created by the Math department. Therefore, students who receive the test will feel “familiar” and feel confident when taking the test. With this test, ordinary students will not have too much trouble getting 5-6 points.
As for good students, who have a solid grasp of basic knowledge, have a serious and diligent review process, and have the orientation of using the Math exam results for university admission, they will be able to do 70%, that is, until about questions 37-38.
Talking about this year's exam, Mr. Thanh also said that there were many special things because the questions were at the application and high application levels, the math types were familiar, the questions were clear, and there were no puzzles.
However, candidates will have to spend a lot of time solving math problems to find the correct answer. Of which, 5 questions at a high level of application scan the entire 12th grade calculus and geometry program, including complex numbers, Oxyz spatial coordinates, exponential functions, logarithms: Candidates may be able to determine the method and direction of solving the questions, but due to the time it takes, some will feel regretful because they do not have enough time to do the test. The ability to judge to answer correctly is not there. Candidates will have to answer quickly and correctly in the previous questions and spend time on this last group of questions.

With his experience, Mr. Thanh said: Candidates taking the Math exam will be careful to make sure they get it right, not rushing. Therefore, with this exam, most students can only solve 2-3 questions out of 5 high-level application questions. With this exam, there will be many scores of 8-9, but to get a score of 10 is difficult and there will definitely not be a rain of 10s.
According to the Department of Education and Training, the second exam session, Math exam, had a total of 36,389 candidates registered to take the exam.
