Shocked by 127 flight security violations

According to statistics from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, in the first 6 months of 2015, authorities discovered and handled 127 violations related to aviation security.

Of these, the number of cases of passengers carrying weapons, supporting tools, and dangerous items in violation of regulations was 75; the number of cases of spreading or providing false information about bombs and explosives was 3; the number of cases of illegally entering restricted areas at airports and aircraft was 3; the number of cases of disturbing order, threatening, and assaulting aviation staff; aviation staff not performing their duties was 10; and the number of cases of violating regulations on the use of flight documents; control cards and permits was 36.

With the above violations, by the end of the third quarter and October 2015, many numbers have decreased. Specifically, the number of cases of passengers carrying weapons, supporting tools, and dangerous items stopped at 41 cases; the number of cases of spreading rumors about bombs in the third quarter was 3 cases, but by October, there were no cases. In addition, the number related to violations of using flight documents and aviation security control licenses, in the third quarter there were 27 cases, but by October, this number stopped at 4 cases. However, if in the entire third quarter there were only 2 cases of disturbing order on airplanes, by October, this number was 3 cases...

Assessing the reality, the leader of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said that to achieve the above results, the work of ensuring aviation security at airports, airfields and on flights has been and is being ensured. The aviation security force always coordinates with units inside and outside the industry to strictly implement procedures and measures; promptly detect and handle violations with the highest goal of not allowing serious incidents to occur that threaten aviation security.
