Recently, many rare artifacts were found by scientists in a field in Kent, England.

According to research, British scientists say this treasure dates back to about 1400 BC.

The results of the survey conducted on April 18 at the Archbishop's Palace concluded that the oldest artifacts found included ancient axe blades made from copper alloy, dating from about 1400-1150 BC, belonging to the Middle Bronze Age.

It is known that 5 out of 10 ancient axes discovered on August 8, 2016 have characteristics quite similar to the axe blades found on November 27, 2016. On April 30, 2017, 10 other axes were also found.

Similar axe blades belong toTaunton period Middle Bronze Age(c. 1500-1140 BC) was also discovered at an archaeological site in Kent on 12 December 2017.

All the axes found date from the Middle Bronze Age.“The two types of ancient axes found at the site include two types, one designed with a sunken pattern and the other with a triangular shape. “This discovery is an important contribution to the number of antiquities found in Kent County”, said senior survey official Roger Hatch.

Two other coins, also found in Kent on 2 August 2016 and 18 October 2017, have now been valued by the British Museum. One of them is a fourpence coin from the reign of King Edward I (issued around 1280-1281) containing 92.5% pure silver and has been minted into jewellery. The other coin is made of gold and has also been minted into a pendant.

"According to the investigation results, it is very likely that this is an Anglo-Saxon coin pendant with a motif imitating the ancient Roman Solidus coin with a cross on one side", said Mr. Roger Hatch.
