Previously, the police coordinated with Tan Thanh and Huu Nghi Customs Branches to discover that the car driven by Thu had suspicious signs, so they conducted an administrative inspection.
The truck had 33 logs of wood, which Thu said he was transporting for a cargo owner in the same district to the Tan Thanh border gate area. Upon checking the logs, the authorities found signs of assembly at each end.
The working group used a knife to split these logs in half and discovered bracelets, rings, rosaries, small statues, and dragon-carved seals wrapped in paper. Thu could not present any documents proving the origin of this 43 kg shipment.
