(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Border Guard just rescued 7 people on a rubber boat departing from Ha Tinh to Ngu Island for tourism, but on the way to shore it capsized due to big waves.

Looking at the tourists playing in the waves, Lieutenant Luong slowly told about the moment he saved the lives of 7 tourists in the middle of the ocean.

At about 7:15 p.m. on April 26, Lieutenant Luong was on duty with his brothers at Cua Hoi Port when he was informed by his superiors that about 800 meters from the coast towards Song Ngu Island, a rubber boat had been completely capsized by the waves, with 7 fishermen on board calling for help.

In the dark of night, he and 6 officers and soldiers moved on the MS 50 boat with 740 KV to overcome the waves to rescue. After 20 minutes of moving, they discovered the location of the boat in distress, from the screams and panic of 7 people trying to hold on to the rubber boat.

However, due to the big waves and strong winds (level 6), the boat in distress was tossed about by the waves, making it impossible for the rescue boat to dock with the boat in distress. With the experience of the officers and soldiers of Squadron 2 and his courage, Lieutenant Tran Duc Luong put on a safety belt and jumped into the sea, which was more than 9 meters deep, to swim after the boat in distress. After more than 10 minutes of struggling with the waves, he was able to hold on to and pull the boat in distress and bring 7 people onto the rescue boat safely.

After rescuing and bringing the victim to shore, Lieutenant Tran Duc Luong was almost exhausted...

It is known that this is not the first time Lieutenant Tran Duc Luong has faced the dangers of people in distress at sea. Previously, on the night of March 10, while fishing in the Cua Hoi sea area, about 8 nautical miles from the coast, the boat of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truong residing in Hai Binh block, Nghi Hai ward, had a gas tank explode, causing 5 people to suffer severe burns, of which 3 were in danger of death.

Lieutenant Tran Duc Luong was also present and with his teammates braved level 7-8 waves to rescue and give first aid to 5 victims and bring them to shore in time to be transferred to the upper line.
