At around 8:00 p.m. on January 17, Thai Manh Giap (born in 1994, residing in Huong Son district, Ha Tinh) rode a motorbike with license plate 38H1 - 128.48 from his home to a gas station in Son Chau commune, pretending to go fill up with gas with the intention of threatening the staff to rob money.

At this time, Mr. Dang Ngoc Hanh (born in 1991, residing in Do Luong district, Nghe An) was filling up gas for Giap when suddenly Giap pulled out a knife and put it to Mr. Hanh's neck, demanding another gas station employee give all the money to Giap.
Giap continued to threaten the victim with a knife and demanded to be led into the safe room of the gas station to rob.more money
When Mr. Hanh hesitated, Giap stabbed him in the stomach with a knife. Mr. Hanh quickly grabbed the knife, threw the robber to the ground and called for help.

Hearing the cry for help, the working group of Son Chau Commune Police together with local people arrived promptly to control and arrest Giap.
Currently, Huong Son District Police are detaining Thai Manh Giap to investigate the case.
