(Baonghean.vn) - At 10 PM on February 6th, due to a dispute over the sale of kumquat trees in the Phan Dinh Phung street area (Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City), Dao Manh Ha (born in 1989, residing in Yen Giang block, Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City) used a knife to stab Nguyen Ngoc Anh (born in 1990, residing in Block 1, Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City), injuring him in the abdomen and left arm. Afterwards, both Ha and Anh called for reinforcements.

At 1:00 AM on February 7th, the two groups met at Cua Tien Bridge. Dao Manh Ha's group used a gun (type of gun not yet identified) to fire at Nguyen Ngoc Anh's group. Two shots hit Tran Van Thanh (born 1991, residing at house number 33, Phan Chu Trinh Street, Doi Cung Ward), striking him in the chest and right arm, killing him instantly. Vinh City police promptly arrived at the scene and arrested Tran Van Cuong (born 1987); Nguyen Tuan Anh (born 1993); Vo Dinh Toan (born 1988), all residing in Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City, and Le Thanh Son (born 1984, residing in Hung Loc Commune, Vinh City) for investigation and prosecution.
