(Baonghean.vn) - At 10:00 p.m. on February 6, due to a conflict when buying and selling kumquat trees on Phan Dinh Phung Street (Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City), Dao Manh Ha (born in 1989, residing in Yen Giang Block, Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City) used a knife to slash Nguyen Ngoc Anh (born in 1990, residing in Block 1, Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City), injuring him in the abdomen and left arm. After that, both Ha and Anh called their accomplices.

At 1:00 a.m. on February 7, the two groups met at Cua Tien Bridge. Dao Manh Ha's group used a gun (type of gun not yet determined) to shoot at Nguyen Ngoc Anh's group. Two bullets hit Tran Van Thanh (born in 1991, residing at 33 Phan Chu Trinh Street, Doi Cung Ward) in the chest and right arm, killing Thanh on the spot.
